Homework week of: Monday, 9/8/25 – Friday, 9/12/25
** All H.W. will be graded! **
- Monday – The Circus Train worksheet (will be in your child’s take home folder) – make sure students write their first and last name at the top, fill in each train with a CAPITAL letter in their neatest handwriting, and color the worksheet in the lines.
- Tuesday – Math workbook pgs. 9 & 10
- 9/9 – Celebrating Mrs. Miraglia’s Birthday in KB!!!!!!! 🙂
- Wednesday – Letter Recognition worksheet – will be in your child’s take-home folder
- Thursday – Know Your Numbers worksheet – will be in your child’s take-home folder
- ** Make sure to dress your child in their GYM uniforms and sneakers every Thursday for gym class. **
- Friday – NO HOMEWORK ON WEEKENDS 🙂 HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!
- First Fun Friday for KB! The kids have sleep-mats in our classroom, but if you would like to send in extra blankets/pillows for cozier vibes, feel free to do so! I will be providing the snacks and movies every Fun Friday 🙂 (If you choose to send in extra blankets/pillows, I will send them home at dismissal — sleep mats stay in school)
- 9/12 – Celebrating Elle Petalino’s Birthday in KB!!!! 🙂
** Anticipated Test Schedule for KB **
- Tuesday, 9/16 – Test on ALL capital letters out of order
- Thursday, 9/18 – Test on ALL lowercase letters out of order
- Mid / End October – exact date is TBD – Verbal Test on ALL prayers: Our Father, Hail Mary, Guardian Angel. A prayer booklet will be sent home this week. Please make sure you and your child practice the prayers every night!
** Important Daily Reminders / Announcements **
- If you would like your child to buy hot lunch, please see the Duke Catering lunch menu on the SMRS website.
- If you would like your child to purchase a small snack(s) during lunchtime, send in money in an envelope in their take-home folder labeled what it’s for, and Mrs. Short will walk your child down to buy his/her snack.
- If you haven’t already, please send in toys in a large zip-lock bag labeled with your child’s name and grade, along with headphones for KB’s iPad days!
- Please review and fill out ALL forms that are sent home in your child’s take-home folder. It is very important I receive them all.
- Back To School Night – Wednesday, 9/17 – details are TBA!
- All specials begin this week, 9/8. Be sure to check the specials schedule that was sent home in your child’s take-home folder on the first week of school.
- Parents – I know I said on the first week of school I was going to give your child a lanyard with their name and means of transportation – but I learned all of their names and how they’re getting home the first day! If you feel more comfortable and you want your child to have a lanyard, please let me know – I have them all filled out and ready to go! 🙂
