WELCOME TO MRS. SANTARELLI’S
CLASSROOM BILLBOARD!
SCROLL DOWN TO FIND YOUR GRADE AND SEE WHAT WE’RE DOING FOR THE 2ND MARKING PERIOD!
Here, you will find various links to assignments and information regarding the current curriculum in Technology Class. You can also check Renweb for assignments. Due dates are flexible — all work must be submitted by the end of the marking period.
Students in 4th and 5th grade are required to bring their flash drive to each class. Habitually forgetting their flash drive will result in points taken off of their “Prepared for Class” grade. I have explained to students that “…coming to class without your flash drive is like coming to math class without your math book/notebook.” Each student begins the marking period with 100 points for this. 5pts are taken off this grade for each class during the marking period they forget their flash drive. This is because we heavily practice saving files to their flash drive to ensure they understand file paths and navigating to their flash drive and network drive.
Of course, the occasional incident is usually without penalty. I encourage all students to label their flash drive with their names (on a sticker – markers usually rub off). Drives left behind are put in the “Abandoned Flash Drive” container in my Lab until the he/she retrieves it. Those left in the Abandoned Flash Drive container at the end of June are wiped clean and kept in reserve for other who might need them. If replacing or purchasing a flash drive is a hardship, please let me know. I usually have extra flash drives for student use.
Middle School students are encouraged to bring their flash drive to class in order to keep a backup of the work done in Technology class however, there is no penalty for not having it.
HERE’S WHAT WE’RE DOING!
8th Grade: We are working on Microsoft Excel. I review the basics of Excel with the class. Then they receive (digitally) the assignment complete with detailed instructions and rubric. Those instructions are provided below for viewing. Students are never expected to do my assignment outside of Technology Class with very few exceptions.
