We will be learning long i next week, but because it is a short week and I don’t want o give homework over break the pictures will be due later. Please practice the rhythm .
Practice street address. This should be the 911 address. Don’t for get the zip code.
Homework
Math: workbook pages 101 and 102.
Chapter 9 in math and it is on money. Children will need to know the names of the coins and how much they are worth. Ex. dime = 10 cents
Practice the names of the signs +. -. =.
Practice adding 0, 1, 2 and/ or 3 to a number from 1 to 10.
Spelling: Write a sentence in Blue sentence copybook using one spelling word. Children should use some adjectives in their sentences. We have learned adjectives.
Spelling: Write words 1 time and practice reading the words. Say spelling word and have your child tell your the vowel they hear in the middle. Ex. say can Your child says “I hear short a in pan”. you say cane Your child says “I hear long a in pane”.
Reading Word test on Wednesday on the following words. thaat, day, long, than, his when. Most children wanted to take the test for these words already. There are only 4 children who need to practice everyone else got them all correct. I will put a sticky note in their folder.
Animal Friend Book this week’s letter/sound is E, e long e 10 pictures are due Monday, April 3, and go on Egret Eve page. Don’t forget to cook. Memorize rhythm. Some long e words: egret, easel, Easter, Easter Egg, Easter Bunny, elastic, eraser, eagle, (bird), Eagles (football team) eel, emu, Easter Lily. No ‘ea’, ‘en’, ’em’ words.
Please pray the “Grace before and after meals” Your child should know these since we say them every day.
