Band

St. Margaret’s Advanced Band performed on the concourse during the “7th Inning Stretch” of the River Sharks game on May 13, 2008. Look forward to another performance this school year.

The Opening Mass or Holy Spirit Mass for the beginning of the new school year was held on Friday, 9/5/08.  The 8th graders sang their song "Because I love, I serve" with sign language.  Many parents joined us in praising the Lord with cool "Jamming with Jesus" music and band.  Thanks to all for attended and a special thanks to Sr. Arlene and the band..

   Dear Parents,

The school year is now back in full swing and our band is looking to be better than ever.  We have already begun with in school lessons and are working towards learning the music for our Christmas Concert.  In order to be as prepared as possible for this concert we will need to practice together as a band.  Group lessons are given by instrument during the school day.  So that the students aren't taken from class more than once in a day, band rehearsals will need to be held after school.

Band rehearsals will be held Mondays after school until 3:30 PM. After school rehearsal will begin Monday, October 6th and will be held every Monday there is school.  These rehearsals will be essential to learning the music for the concerts.  Regular attendance at these rehearsals in necessary for all the students performing in the concert.  Please make every effort to have the students at rehearsal each week.

If there are any questions, please feel free to email me at jmills@hotmails.com or send a note through school.  I look forward to seeing everyone at the concert.

Thanks for your support.

Mr. Millstein
