THANKS ... We would like to take this opportunity to
thank those of you who attended our 2007 Beef and Beer. We
hope you had a great time! We would also like to thank
our coaches and team moms who sold tickets for us, collected
money and put together baskets for our Chinese Auction.
Your attendance helped to make this fundraiser a huge
success. All proceeds from this event benefit our
athletes at SMS while also helping the school. Listed
below are some of the expenses and purchases of the athletic
program for the past couple of years. With proceeds
from the beef and Beer, along with registration fees and
apparel sales, we are able to continue to serve the children
at St. Margaret's.
Athletics are an integral part of the educational process
and should be enjoyed by as many of the children at our
school as possible. However, athletics are not the be
all and end all of life. The Athletic program of St. Margaret's
is to build good sportsmanship and respect, as
well as skill Guidelines established for all children who
participate.
Students must have some type of insurance in order for a
child to participate in the program.
Students must maintain at least a "C" average
in every subject during the school year. Students are
suspended from their sport if their grade averages
drop below a "C"
Parents
or Guardians of children who would like to participate in
Winter Sports at St. Margaret's:
Attached
is the registration form that needs to be filled out and
submitted by October 6, 2008 to the Athletic Association
with the appropriate registration fees. There are
separate checks required, $ 50/sport per child with a
family cap of $150 and one check per family for $20 for
the annual Athletic Association social. If you are unable
to attend the sign-ups in person on October 6th, please
fill out the attached form and enclose with registration
& social fees and send to Maura Kelly, c/o Edward
Merenda, 7A.
